I am descended from several ancestors who were among the organizers of the original SDB church in Piscataway, NJ in 1707.One of them, Jonathan Fitz Randolph and his wife, Elizabeth, gave an acre of ground for a church.Hezekiah Bonham, who first declared Saturday as the Sabbath. Thomas Fitz Randolph ad wife Mary, Hugh and wife, Elizabeth, Dunn were all original members. Samuel Doty joined sometime before 1722. These were all ancestors of mine , as was Rev. Drake, a very early minister. This information is from "Early Settlers of Woodbridge and Piscataway, NJ, pp.436 and 548 ff. Abel Fitz Randolph, son of founder Jonathan FR, moved to New York. I wonder if he went there because of the funding of the church there. I know very little about him, but would like to har frm anyone who may have information about him. Gayle gltn8 To do research on my ancestors is to show respect and veneration for them and myself.
