    3. I'm doing research on the Greenmanville SDB Church (used to be in Mystic, CT), and one of the books I am using, "History Of The Seventh-Day Baptist General Conference From Its Origin, September, 1802, To Its Fifty-Third Session, September, 1865. By Rev. James Bailey". This book has a listing, pages 317-318, of SDB Churches and their organization dates. The first 2 listed for VA are #17, "New Salem, VA", organized 1745, and #18, "Lost Creek, VA", organized 1805. I know Lost Creek is now in West Virginia, and I think New Salem may be the current Salem, WV Church, but I don't know. The listing has 103 churches organized from 1671 (Newport, RI), to 1866 (Farina, IL). If anyone is interested, I would be willing to make the list part of a future e-mail to this group. BTW, the Scott, NY Church is listed as #24, organized in 1820. The other NY State churches organized before that date are Berlin (1780); Brookfield (1797); DeRuyter (1806); Alfred (1816); Preston (1816); and Verona (1820). I don't know how close or far away any of them in relation to Scott. Terry L. (Crane) Durst
