I am descended from son James A. Ditty through his son John D. Ditty and John's son James Isaac Ditty. John & his wife Jane left York Co., SC before 1850 - were in GA 1850 then by 1860 the family w/o John is found in Jackson Co., FL. Does anyone know where in Ireland James came from or anything more about his children - Thomas and Moses B. as indicated in the land records of York Co. Also according to 1800 census there could be another son and a daughter names unknown. I would appreciate any information on this family. Thank You.
