Hi! I am searching for the location of what was a gold mine in York County. In a will probated 21 Sep 1897, my third great grandfather, Joseph Thomas, gave and bequeathed "to my wife, Catherine E. Thomas, 100 acres of my real estate beginning at a post Oak on the Thorn Ferry Rd. whereas the road from my house goes into the Thorn Ferry Rd. Also one-third interest in a Gold mine on my place during her life and also as long as she remains as a widow."
