Rev. G. W.(George Washington?) Davis was in York Co. in 1840 and 41 that I know of. There are several George's and G. W.'s listed on York Co. censuses for earlier years. My g grfather was G. W.(George) Davis, b. ca 1855, s/o B. F. and Lucretia Plaxico Davis. Lucretia was b. in York Co., SC. abt 1832. Any one have Davises in York or surrounding area?
