Thank you so much for your excellent explanation of the history of the SC Counties and Districts. Every state and area in the US has their own history of government growth just depending on the needs of the people at that particular time and in that particular place and yes, it is confusing and hard to understand sometimes. When I am most discouraged I always think "heaven help researchers in the year 2300 when they try to understand the Whys and Wherefores of 1999." Please leave your clear explanation in print so the future researchers can understand where & how it all evolved. This has been a great help to me and I really appreciate your time and effort. I also enjoyed the article on "GENTLEMAN FRANK ROSS' . Accounts like this help us understand our ancestors of that period of time.
