I didn't get any responses to my message on AUGUSTUS PACE living in York Co.SC in 1898. The name is unusual for a Pace, I think. He had been born in Mecklenburg Co., NC, and was the son of YOUNG PACE. Other siblings left back in Mecklenburg were Charles, Abner, Mary, Fannie or Mittie, and possibly a John. I think this family is tied to my ABNER PACE, b. 1821, and from Guilford Co., NC and Rowan Co. NC. Does anyone know if there were any Paces at all in the county in SC in 1895-1900?
