Robert Boyd bought 153 acres on the Catawba River from a Thomas Boyd. The deed was recorded 05 March 1832, in York Cty. Robert sold sold the 153 acres to James Glenn in 1853 when he bought land in Gaston County, NC. I also have a will for a Thomas Boyd probated 07 May 1838, which states Thomas had a son named Robert, but I am not sure if it is my Robert. Other children listed are John, Nancy, is John Glenn. Benet Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, James, William, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Rachel, and Louisa. One of the witnesses is John Glenn.
