This Boyd thing can get confusing. It has confused me. I originally thought my 3gr grandfather was Robert Boyd; however, I have since concluded that my 3 gr grandfather was JOHN P. BOYD (~1799-6 June 1844). His wife was NANCY WILSON PATTON (another long time York County name). One of their children was MARTHA JANE BOYD, who married JOHN MARION (Jock) ROBINSON (another York Co name). I have some believe that NANCY WILSON PATTON may also have a relationship with another ancestor in my line, MINERVA JANE PATTON who married WILLIAM HORTON. I could believe that Minerva was Nancy's niece, but can't prove it. Nancy and William Horton's son, WILLIAM REUBEN HORTON, married Martha Jane and Jock Robinson's daughter, NANCY ANN ROBINSON in 1887, and their daughter, Onnie Horton was my grandmother. On another note, I am at a loss to find anything about MARY ELIZABETH FALLS, who married ROBERT FARRIS around 1830. Their daughter SARAH ANN FARIS (Garrison) FARRIS is my 2gr grandmother. Anyone who might be a relative, please chime in. I feel like I must be related to everyone in York Co, SC.
