I am looking for the parents of my gggrandfather Jonathan McSwain . He lived Calhoun Co Ms. He may have been born in York county SC, Cleveland county NC, or possibly Grenada MS. His date of birth was Sept 13, 1836 died Aug 27, 1881. His wife Mary A H McSwain was born Feb 26,1845 died 1935. Their children were as follows. Mary Jane McSwain born Sept 18, 1867. John Thomas McSwain born Jan 27, 1873. Elige Munrow McSwain born July 1, 1877 died June 27, 1911. Francis Caroline McSwain (my ggrandmother) was born March 12, 1880. Jonathan McSwain born August 27, 1881 died July 27, 1963. Melvina Lee McSwain was born March 12, 1886 died August 28, 1886. There was another sister known to my family as Aunt T have no info on her. Have located old tin type picture of family which was probably taken in the late 1880's as all children are there. There was also a David McSwain on the 1850 census in Marshall county Ms, which is near Calhoun county at this time. His age was listed at 30yrs. He had no family listed with him. Your help in finding my gggrandfather's parents would be appreciated!
