I am trying to confirm the ancestors of a gggrandfather, WILLIAM T. DAVIS born about 1830 (probably in York Co. SC). He married Mary Jane Wilson on May 6, 1858 of the Gaston Co. Wilsons who belonged to Olney Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, NC. William T. Davis apparently died at the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17, 1862. He and Mary Jane had three daughters: Clementine m. John Andrew Campbell Love Mary Louisa Ann m. John Robert Davidson (my line) Sarah William m. Alexander Galloway Crawford I believe William T. parents to be Josiah T. Davis m. Serina Loureid Chambers. his grandparents to be Thomas Davis m. Frances Moore. I am trying to confirm that Josiah is his father and Thomas Davis his grandfather. Any information would help.
