This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Miskelly Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FdB.2ACE/531.1 Message Board Post: My 5th Great-Grandfather was a James Miskelly from York Co, SC, married to a Martha. That is all I could get. I don't know if you've come up with anything else since you posted this, but MY James Miskelly had 3 sons, William Newton, John, and James, Jr. (There is a John Miskelly listed on the 1860 census in York Co., I THINK. I know I saw it a few minutes before I came up with your post.) Anyway, William Newton is the line I follow. He had 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls with "Eliza"... no last name yet. Samuel is the son I am related to and the only one I have any descendants of at this time. He had 6 kids too, 3 boys and 3 girls. ... You know what...? Why don't I give you the link where I found all this information? A guy named Steven Rutherford from Tippah Co, MS, did an EXCELLENT job. Please reply and let me know if you find that this is the same James Miskelly, as I am eager to hear what you have. As you will see, my line of Miskelly's moved to Tippah Co, MS, in ! North Mississippi. That is where my grandparents, an uncle, and several cousins still live. Another uncle lives in Alabama, and my mom and dad married and moved to Biloxi, MS. Thanks and God Bless. http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=DESC&db=rutherford&id=I26209
