John J. and John Parker appear to be two different men. The names of the wives and children are different. This is what I have on our John J. Parker: John J. Parker was the second son of William and Mary House Parker. He was born on October 29, 1809 in York County, South Carolina. He moved to Morgan County, Alabama in 1828 with his brother Davis Parker and others. He selected an area five or six miles west of what is now Hartselle, Alabama. John J. Parker married Elizabeth A. Junkins on July 25, 1832. John J. and Elizabeth Parker were the parents of: Mary Elizabeth Parker - 1833 - 1902 William Stacy Parker - 1835 - 1903 P. Henry Calvin Parker - 1839 - 1919 James E. Parker - 1848 - NRD S. Lucinda Parker - 1851 - NRD This book is not indexed and it is very difficult to find individuals. On pages 1-2 Walter Avery Parker wrote, "There are gaps and mistakes...It is my hope that some member or members of the family will become interested sufficiently to take up the study and clear up missing gaps in this record...will undertake the more difficult task of tracing the record back from William Parker..."
