ROCK HILL---Graveside services for Andrew Bourne "A.B." Pafford Jr, 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Grandview Memorial Park. Bass Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Pafford, widower of Elsie Roberts Pafford, died Saturday, May 6, 2000. Born in Surgargrove, VA, he was the son of Andrew Sr. & Gennie Pafford. Mr. Pafford retired from Celanese as a superintendent over preparation. He was a member of American Legion Post #34, Elks Lodge, and a member of Masonic Lodge #385. Mr. Pafford was a WWII navy veteran & served on the USS Wisconsin. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Mattie Woodyard; several nieces & nephews. [The State, Columbia, SC, Sunday, May 7, 2000].
