    3. I am looking for a Daniel Young who died aout 1853/1857 but not in the 1850 NC or SC census. He left a wife Martha who married a Poole from Cleveland County and they lived in Lincoln County in 1860 census. In that census the Young children were listed under his name as Poole's instead of Youngs. Daniel and Martha Young's daughter Mary Ann was my great-grandmother. My 92 year old aunt was 12 when Mary Ann died. Mary Ann married a Holbrook in Mecklenburg County, then my great-grandfather John Franklin Fisher from Lincoln County and was in 1880 Gaston County census. He died in 1887. She remarried in 1891 in Gaston County. That is where I found that her father was Daniel Young. Can find no marriage record for Daniel and Martha. There was a Daniel Young earlier in Lincoln County that might be the same man and Martha was the 2nd wife. Daniel and Martha had Mary Ann, Susan, James, and Zachariah Young. Only Mary Ann and her half-brother Albert Poole lived to be old. If you can help me, I would really appreciate it. As for the Young's in York SC, I have info on their line from 1840 up. They are the relatives of Fields Young, III of Shelby. His mother or sister gave me a copy of their line. Will be glad to share that.
