My understanding is that most of them came down from Delaware, then probably through the Augusta area of VA, then to central NC before York. Would love to hear more info, though. I am looking for a family with a Caleb GARRISON, born 1775 in NC, married Sarah FLEMING. I suspect his father was John GARRISON, as that was the name of Caleb and Sarah's first son....
