    3. Roxsanne, You are always sending out good site addresses. Here is one you might like to know about: http://www.charlotte.com/observer/local/york If you get this one today, Saturday, you can scroll down past all the sports scores, etc. near the end of the page and find an article about the Revolutionary War in the York/Chester/Lancaster area. That is a weekly column that I do--each Saturday. Today's has little on York County (mostly Chester) but a majority of the columns are about York. My name does not appear on the opening page but is on the specific column when opened. You can also e-mail the column through a special little box at the end. Louise

    1. [SCYORK] BURNS
    2. Hi! Looking for information on Cyrus Iddo Burns, b. 1799/1800 in York Co. Father is listed as Samuel, no name given for mother. I found only one Samuel on a transcription of the 1800 York Co. census, and he does show male children under age 10. I've also found a Samuel Burns marrying Mary Ancrum in 1771; and a Mary Burns, widow of Samuel Burns, in reference to a Rev. War pension. Does anyone have any information on this family (or these families, if not the same)? I believe this is the same Cyrus (the middle name being unusual) who later moved to Tennessee, then Illinois. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nan Lambert
