    3. Walter, The York County Library in Rock Hill South Carolina has a computer generated print out of persons buried in Laurelwood Cemetary.....you may want to contact the York County Library and ask for their assistance. Also I live very near there...if you would e-mail your information, I will look it up for you the next time I am able to get there. It may be a couple of weeks before I can do this. S. 2. Walter, My daughter is also buried there... You could write to the city of Rock Hill, SC and see what information they have on your grandfather. I remember that when we "purchased" the plot, there was a lot of information we had to fill out. It will be a while before we go back up to SC, but when we do, i'll see what I can find for you. 2. D. Akin
    3. That name is spelled most any way....I know of a John and Phoebe Atkins worshiping at Fishing Creek mid 1700's. The first family in SC by this name was Thomas Akin who was in Charleston in 1675. Later, we find Eakin. The latest variation is Aiken. My Akin family was always insulted to be called Aiken, but I can't believe that they are not all connected somehow. Any ideas that it might have also been Adkins?
