I have a copy of the Benjamin Britton Family Bible which states "Benjamin Britton and Sarah Nesmith were married October 15,1799." She was born Aug. 26th, 1763, died Dec. 25, 1826, leaving one son Benjamin b. 2/13/1801. Also noted "My dear and loving wife Sarah Britton died..., half past seven o'clock in the morning -- we spent twenty six year two months and 11 days in Harmony and love -- my dear wife and our son Benjamin are laid in one grave at her father's, Samuel Nesmith Esq., burying ground by the request of Benjamin Britton." Can you make this fit into your lines? This is not my direct line. Benjamin Britton then married our ggggrandmother, Sarah Grier Britton Britton, and after his death, then she married Col. David D.
