I am knew to all of this and I am trying to get information on my family that is traced to Kingstree, SC. Is there a way to gather information on my fathers family from that area that were African slaves? I know that such records may be difficult if not impossible to find but any info that you could give would be greatly appreciated. My grandfathers name was Samuel Montgomery, no date of birth given.
