V., I don't know if this will help or not. In the book--Abstracts Williamsburgh Equity Records 1823-1870 there is a listing for Samuel Montgomery who died 12 April 1862.It says his slaves were emancipated at his death but does not name them. Maybe someone who knows more than we do can advise you where to look to find the names. Good Luck. Elsie
