I have a Richard Parsons mention in a letter written 20 July 1862 in Columbia, S.C. The letter was written by George Samuel Briley Huggins to his wife Elizabeth Timmons. In the letter he says " and tell the Negros I have not forgotten them..." Hope this helps Diana
