Hi John, In the books I have there is mentioned a John Morris who was a surety for bond and the item was dated 2 Jan 1808, but I am aware that in Williamsburg area there might have been many John Morrises. Seems that brothers named their kids after each other all the time, so at one time there might have been at least 2 alive at the same time. Some records say that Old John Morris , the Rev War soldier , died before 1795, and that his widow, Rebecah Morris, md Claude Francois Mege in Charleston in 1796. I have sent to Charleston for will of both John Morris and Rebecah Cox Morris Mege Kennon. In 1804 she md. Henry Kennon of Dorchester. In the Equity records, there is also no mention of a will for John Marshall who I believe is the father of James Marshall. These are the two generations I must prove. Thanks for the suggestion ...
