Can someone tell me about the Episcopal Churches in Williamsburg, and if there is any way to access their birth and marriage records for the late 1700's and early to mid 1800's? Failing that, does anyone know the address and phone # of the oldest Episcopal Church in the area? I am trying to find the parents of my g-g grandfather, Dr. SAMUEL EDWIN NORTON b 8 May 1816 in either Georgetown or Williamsburg. DR NORTON"S wife was JULIA JUSTINA ALSTON whom he married in Halifax County NC in 1798. I ALSO need the birth or baptism record for his son, my great grandfather, JAMES HUDSON NORTON b 6 Sept 1844...in Williamsburg???
