    2. That, I think, is my GgF. I am pretty sure of it. The Fulmore there is very interesting. My Ggf was a Fulmore b4 she married Julius. Her name was Alice Fulmore, daughter of J.H. Fulmore and a slave. Hard to do research from here in NC, so thanks for the info and help. Johnny

    3. Hello, I could not find a Julius McCutcheon. The only Julius that I could find that had something to do with the McCutcheon's, was in the will of Bryant McClam recorded 15 Sept 1849. Bryant McClam was the husband of Isabel McCutcheon b. abt 1774. Isabel was the daughter of James McCutcheon who was the son of Hugh and Isabella (Cooper) McCutcheon. In Bryant McClam's will it says, "negroes Venus, Julius, Malvina and Leafy to be appraised." 1. Re: SCWILLIA-D Digest V00 #25 NESMITH & NORTON
    2. Nona, Did your NESMITH family by any chance emigrate from Williamsburg Co, SC to Lowndes County or another south Alabama County? My NORTONS were from Williamsburg and Georgetown and had friends named NESMITH. One of the NESMITH sons fought in the WBTS (war between the states...or if you wish, the American Civil War) from that state. I have the text of a letter written by my great grandfather to his father which mentions the NESMITH man. So if you think these might be yours, please let me know.
