    2. Betty C, Saw your posting about Nesmith's book. I am wondering if you have an Ann Pressley listed. She married Rev. George Anderson, they had a son George Pressley Anderson in 1838 in GA. The family refers to the Pressleys as cousins in this generation, especially when speaking of Judge John Gotea Pressley. The Judge's personal account of his ancestors does not include Ann Pressley. George Pressley Anderson, our ggrandfather married Margaret Gotea Wilson of Williamsburg Co. SC. Any time spent would be most appreciated. Thanks, Janyce Anderson

    3. >> Location: BLACK MINGO CREEK Source(s): COOK, BODDIE. Notes: ORIGINAL WILLIAMSBURG SETTLER, BORN ON RIVER BANN, NORTHERN IRELAND IN 1670. << There seems to be better proof that this John was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. There is a christening record for him there. I'm not at home so I can't give you the source data until next week. I searched the Irish records and never found reference to him, but the christening is there in Scotland. There is also a record of his landing in New Hampshire about 1684, in company with one of his Baird cousins and others who seem to be relatives. ....BettyC

    3. Carole, I have a feeling that my last message got lost in space. "My" Nesmiths merged into the Ferdons with the 1658 marriage of Joanna to John Ferdon (b. 1635). I BELIEVE she was the daughter of Lemuel (b. 1608) but am still trying to verify this. Any ideas you might have would be welcome.
