    2. Hi Elsie, Thanks for getting back with me. Sounds like that could be my man. He died sometimes between the mid to late 20's, The last he appears in the census is 1910. If you would follow up on him, I'd sincerely appreciate it. Thanks millions!!! Pam

    2. Elsie, I am looking for John Locklear, born late 1800s, John Clifton Locklear, b. 1903, Alston Locklear, b. 1901. John Locklear married Alice Brown somewhere around 1900. They had three children: Alston, John Clifton, and Ilee. Is there another spelling for Peguese, maybe without the "e" on the end? Thanks so much for your help. Micki Peguese

    2. Do you know when your William was born. I have a William Thompson listed as a child of Alexander Thompson and Catherine Scott. The book I have doesn't list a date of birth or death for him but he had an older brother-Alexander Jr. that was born in 1786 and a younger sister-Jane that was born in 1812. Donna

    2. Dear Elsie: I have searched for 22+ years for data regarding my ggg grandfather, William T. Thompson who died in 1838. He was a resident of Williamsburg County. However, he worked as an overseer on two plantations in Georgetown County -- Friendfield (which is now part of Hobcaw Barony) and Waites Point (which may have been in Horry Cty). His employer was Mrs. Elizabeth Blyth, the aunt of Gov. Robert Allston. I would deeply appreciate any data regarding his parents and siblings. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Diana

    3. I need some help! In the Probate Book for Williamsburg district by Three Rivers, it says: "McKnight, I.G. to Julian T [should be J] Bareneau, daughter of Isaac Bareneau, Esq. on the 20th ult. Georgetown Gazette, May 19, 1826." In looking at some of the old original records, I believe this should be J. G. McKnight and I believe it is the announcement of their marriage. J.G. McKnight would be John Gotea McKnight, hubby's grgrandfather. Does anyone have access to this paper and look it up for me??? I really would appreciate it. And thanks! JONI
