Joni Do you have any McDONALD`s listed??? Diana
If this question what directed to me, I can't really answer it. The index book and volume 6 that I have do not say when they started these records. The earliest death date I have found so far is 1941 but I have not looked through the whole volume to check. Maybe John Gregg could answer that for us. If not, I will ask when I go to Three Rivers again. Elsie
Please verify that e-mail address for Scott Wilde. It's coming up as not a known address.
p.s. the only Benj Montgomery was in Richland Co., SC in 1870

How far back do the funeral home records go? Our email was messed up and some are still floating in! I have MCKNIGHT'S, GOTEA'S and a whole lot more way back!! JONI
Could you look up two names for me? My great grandfather, William Warren Wells(W.W.W.) Ward and Luke Ward (may possibly be my great great grandfather) are both on the 1860 census. I know that W.W.W. Ward died in S.C. but am not sure about the Luke Ward but he does not show up on the 1870. I would greatly appreciate your help on this. Fran in Fl. "Elsie Swilley," wrote: > Yes. Dear Donna: Thank you so much for the information. Since my William signed an employment contract in 1820 to be an overseer, I guess he was born in the late 1700s. Alexander could be his brother. In 1830, his son Nelson was born. In the 1840s, after his death in 1838, he was the subject of then Senator Robert Allston's re-election campaign. I would deeply appreciate any more data on those Thompsons. Thank you. Diana
wpold you look something up for me since you have that book with the w. william williams1730=1780, henry f williams sr. henry f williams jr and james r. (jas) williams1949 -1912 thanks
V., I don't know if this will help or not. In the book--Abstracts Williamsburgh Equity Records 1823-1870 there is a listing for Samuel Montgomery who died 12 April 1862.It says his slaves were emancipated at his death but does not name them. Maybe someone who knows more than we do can advise you where to look to find the names. Good Luck. Elsie
Dorothy, I could not find the ones you mentioned. They must have died before these records were started. Elsie
Sorry. The death records don't go back that far. I did find in the info on Anna Elmira Wilson that her father was Robert D.Wilson. Elmira was born in 1856 and died in 1949. Could this be your Robert? Elsie
Yes. If you send the name I will look it up for you. I own the index and volume 6(S-Z).
Micki, There is no entry for Peguese. There are several for Locklair and Locklear. Do you have a given name you are looking for? Elsie
Pam, There was no entry for Stukes. There is a listing for S.D.Burgess in the index. I don't have the B volume but if you think this is yours I will check when I go to SC next week. I will be visiting in Kingstree and always go to Three Rivers while I am there.Give me a year or an estimated time of death in case they just have initials. Elsie
