    3. The dates I have for Elizabeth Britton are 13 Oct. 1776 to 3 Feb. 1870. These were taken from a Nesmith Family Bible published by Three Rivers in 1979. The days seem to coincide, but not the years. Makes me wonder which is correct, for I certainly do not know! ....BettyC

    2. Betty Clay
    3. On Robert Nesmith, I have his birth on 21 Jun 1758. No date for his marriage to Elizabeth Brittain, but approximately 1784 Children for whom I have no dates: Sarah Ann, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Joseph. I have dates for Lemuel (04 Aug 1806), David (17 Jun 1808), and Benjamin Moses (14 Jun 1823.) I have date of death as 20 Dec/ 1837 Most of this information came from either English's book on the NeSmith Family (available on microfilm from the LDS) or the Brockinton book that is available in several libraries in the Williamsburg area. Part of the Brockinton book was collected by the family members in South Carolina, and part by my cousins Earl and Melvin Brockinton of North Little Rock. The NeSmith book was written by Agnes Nesmith English, and largely collected from various family Bibles and other papers of that sort. ....BettyC

He is in the Williamsburg Census in 1800. I beleive Robert's father's name was either James or John, but I need proof. Dorothy

    3. I have just gotten on this mailing list. I read your mail and wondered if the Robert Morris you are looking for could be the same Robert Morris I have as being the son of John H. Morris and Eliza Player. I have Robert Morris as being born in 1852 as the ninth child of the above mentioned. I have JH Morris as being married in 1837 and Eliza Player as being born in 1814. I am researching the Player line and would be interested in any info anyone has. I have quite a bit done on the Players from Williamsburg Co and Sumter Co and would love to find more. My name is Linda Player Dashner and I was raised in the Shiloh community of Sumter Co.

    2. Since I received such beautiful response re the MARSHALL sibling group (realizing that some of you might have info on some of the brothers or sisters of our ancestors, and not our direct ancestors, here is another riddle: Anyone have info on the name of the father of this man who was in Williamsburg by 1800: ROBERT MORRIS. He sometimes was written as MORRICE and MAURICE. His sons were Samuel Wesley Maurice from Kingstree and Robert Maurice. I need the name of Robert's father (Samuel's grandfather). dorothy

    3. I thought the URL would work, but it doesn't. Go to this URL http://www.familysearch.org/Search/searchaf.asp and put P249-46 in the File Number (AFN) block. That will take you to the information on the Marshall family. 3. Hi, My husband's great-grandfather was Harvey Franklin GRAHAM, born July 12, 1884 in Williamsburg County. I just found out that his parents were James Franklin GRAHAM and Elizabeth Caroline GRAHAM (same surname). I had previously thought they were Harvey Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Moore, and was unable to find them (now I know why). Does anyone have any information that might help me? Thank you, Kathryn Graham
