The two households shown below appear the 1880 Union County, SC Federal Census, Bogansville Township. Josephine BARNETT's maiden name was STEEN; she was also known as Josie. I believe that she and James were the parents of my grandfather, Arthur R. BARNETT. The second household is headed by Julia A. STEEN. Due to the proximity to the BARNETT household, I suspect that Julia may be Josephine's mother. I do not know the name of Julia's husband or Josephine's father.
