Hi Charles, I saw on this Roll Call that you are researching the ROBERTSON family. Would you kindly let me what Robertson Family you are searching. I understand several families came through or some stayed in upper SC. The ones that I am descended from is David Robertson, Sr., lived on the line of SC/NC before the line was determined. Members of his family moved on down into Spartanburg, CO, (David Robertson, Jr.) and several other children of David Robertson, Sr. (Matthew, John, Charles, etc). His son James "Horseshoe" Robertson (Robinson) moved on down into upper Anderson/Pickens Counties (which later became Oconee County. Just wanted to know if you were a part of this family. Betty: Thanks for the note. My Great Grandparents, Maria Agnes Goudelock and Capt Charles Wesley Boyd had two children, Charles William Boyd and Caroline Stuart Boyd. Caroline Stuart married Columbus R Robertson (b 30 Nov 1851 in Union, d 2 Apr 1918 in Union). In early life he was a salesman for Capt AH Foster. He then went into business for himself and was later associated with the US Postal Service. He married 1) Bessie Gage and had one daughter Bessie Robertson; he then married Caroline Stuart Boyd and they had three girls all born in the late 1800's: Caroline Fernandez, Maria Agnes and Cornelia Robertson. I do not have Columbus Robertson's parents or siblings. Does any of this match with your Robertson's?
