My Union County names are: William Rogers, Sr. (1740-1820) - wife Mary Burwell William Rogers, Jr. (1767-1839) - wife Mary Cobb Lynne in the beautiful northeast GA mountains

Lynne, do your Rogers have ties to VA? My John Rogers/Rodgers was born in 1790 in Fauquier Co., VA and moved on to Smith Co., TN. In the 1850 Smith Co. census in John's household there is a William Rogers/Rodgers, age 20, born in SC. I have not been able to determine who this William is and have not found him after 1850.
