HUGHES had children: 1) William P. HUGHES (b ca 1846 SC) 2) Hasseltine HUGHES (b ca 1848 SC) 3) James M. (or M.J.) HUGHES (b ca 1852 Leon Co., TX) - my line 4) Charles E. HUGHES (b ca 1859 Leon Co., TX) I believe William M. HUGHES is a descendant of Richard HUGHES of Union Co., SC -- but do not have proof. He may be the son or grandson of Richard HUGHES. Or he may be the son of Richard HUGHES' son Nimrod HUGHES. Any help will be appreciated.
