I am still searching for the parents, siblings, any background information on Thomas WRIGHT who was in Union County from about 1784. He married Lillie (maiden name unknown) and had children: Nancy b. North Carolina m. Wm. McClanahan, William Wofford, b. NC ca 1782, m. Esther Shipp, Robert, m. Martha Dixon, Mary m. Rev. William S. Briggs, a daughter who married William Craig, Elizabeth m. Carter Livesay, Martha m. Elijah Craig, a daughter who married Francis McClanahan, Tabitha who m. John Thompson. Especially, I would like to know Thomas' relationship to the "Rich Tory," William Wofford who deeded land to Wright in 1784, Union County, stating that the land was intended as Thomas Wright's inheritance. As stated above, William and Lillie named their eldest son, William Wofford Wright. The whole family moved to Tennessee. Thomas died in Hickman County about 1819. Any "educated guesses" appreciated.
