Ok, this is goofy to me on many levels. They could have said "at the present time we do not feel there is a need for the new list" or " you have not demonstrated enough evidence to warrant a new list" or, "could you please explain further" blah blah blah.. but "your request doesn't make sense" so we're not making a list ?!?!! Just out of curiosity.. did you send it to rootsweb in general or to the SC people? 'Cause a general roots web person in California might very well not understand the significance of Old 96 in SC.
