Gena: On William H. Johnson, I have a little information I am willing to share. I show he was married to a Mary Berryman on 11 Jan 1769 in Goochland Co, VA. Think this came from a LDS source. Not sure if it is correct or not. She could have been a first or second wife. Not sure about that. He had a daughter, Susannah Johnson who married one of my husdand's ancestors, Daniel A. Mitchell. Have a little info I can share on her. You may email me privately if you are interested. Peggy C. Mitchell genes4fun@aol.com
Although I don't know your William H., I have some Berryman/Johnson connections in Virginia. If you get back another generation, we may have a connection or two. I recently went to SCAR and ordered some papers. This family is in these papers but I have not transcribed them yet.... I have very many pages to try to transcribe and all are written by hand, and it would seem several different writers. It may take me some time. Please keep this email and ask me from time to time how it is going, if it is done I would be happy to share! It includes Johnson and Thomas surnames mainly but I have probate and wills as well. Wish me luck on the transcribing!!
