Hi Karen, There were no marriage certificates for the most part in at least the upstate of South Carolina until about 1910. I do not know the exact date. You may find proof in a church record, a probate record or newpaper or some such outside source. They would have been 1800 - 1835ish. I have also been advised that maybe the SC marriages were not destroyed.
