No images are available. William Sherridan b 13 Apr 1857 Wigtown Mary Jane Sherden b 06 Aug 1859 Wigtown Robert Pringle Sheridan b 28 Jun 1862 Penninghame m. Anna M. Scholer on 30 Apr 1889 in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa Thomas Shiredan b 16 Sep 1864 Penninghame Alexander Sheridan b 18 Mar 1867 Penninghame Andrew Sherridan b 31 Mar 1869 Penninghame ELizabeth Sheridan b 31 Aug 1872 Penninghame Peter & John, if born in Creetown, Kirkcudbrightshire were probably not transcribed for the familysearch website yet as most male births in Kirkcudbrightshire were not included in their old website. You can find all of these post-1854 Scottish births on the government's website, http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk This site will have all of the registered births, deaths and marriages beginning in 1855. The later birth records (post-1862) should give you the parents place and date of marriage. If John & Elizabeth died in Scotland, you can obtain copies of their death registrations on the same website. These should give you their parents names. This is a pay-to-view/download site, but is very reasonable and the images of the records are of high quality. In the 1861 census, John is a ploughman from Ireland, age 33 and Elizabeth is aged 29 born in Wigtown, Wigtownshire. In the 1841 & 1851 census, the only Elizabeth Pringle I could find was born in Mochrum, Wigtownshire. In 1841 she is living with her mother Jane, who was born in Ireland. You can access the Wigtownshire census records for free at http://www.freecen.org.uk/cgi/search.pl With both of them being of Irish background, don't forget to check the Catholic records on scotlandspeople. And make sure to use the Soundex for the searches, as you can see the surname spelling varied.
