Hi all, we are all having these problems so I hope this gets through to the List. I read the story about the Cynthia being shipwrecked near Port William, I did not know of the date of this happening so I searched for it and came up with this. (Deaths) In Somerset Hospital 27th January 1844 Captain Henry Ludlow, of the Barque Cynthia aged 34 years. >From this I assume that the shipwreck was after this date (but not necessarily) so there may be something in the Wigtownshire Free Press about it, which I will investigate. I have tried to sub to the Rootsweb gateway but got into such a "fankle" (muddle) that I gave up.! Diana
