>From Wigtown Free Press April 18, 2012 " Way We Were" April 19 1888 LEES' BURSERIES Last week it was mentioned that Master David Kerr had been the successful competitor in Latin and we now append a complete list of the successful competitors: Master David Kerr, Clydesdale Bank, Newton Stewart; Master John McMurray, Wigtown;  For geometry and cognate subjects: Master George McClure, Garliestown; Master John McMurray, Wigtown.  There were 11 competitors in all, one of whom did not put in an appearance;  All the competitors were from the Ewart High School.
