    3. Peter - I have a letter written from scotland to the US in 1865 that mentions "old David McKie's" death in Wigtownshire area (Penninghame parish). Also buried in Clachen were many McKies. They are mentioned on 14 pages of the booklet "Clachan of Penninghame Kirkyard Memorial Inscriptions." It would probably be worthwhile to purchase it if you don't have it already. McKies mentioned are John, son John son Peter, son Wm, son John, Jean, Margaret, Agnes, Elizabeth, Grizzel, Janet, Alexander, Andrew etc.= > > 1.
