I have been informed by another source who I asked for some help with Gladys and she tells me that marriage details after 1963 are not given out, so! that's why were not able to trace one for Gladys to a Gilbert, so you may well be correct after all in saying she has married a ? Gilbert.. The only way of finding out will be through her death certificate, and like you, I am quite reluctant to pay for something I'm not sure of.. I have in the past, contacted the local registrar of the death of my grandmother and said "look, I think this could be my grandmother, but don't want to purchase her death certificate in case its not her, can you at least give me some details of her parents" in my case it was just her father John who was listed, but with a name like Axel, you wont go wrong. I do have an obituary (death details of Gladys husband William) when they lived in Jenson Beach Florida ! (I cant remember the rest, but have a newspaper clipping, if you haven't got it already) so Gladys must have lived there for a while before moving on. I looked this area up on the internet and it appears to be a place for mobile homes, looks lovely. On the newspaper clipping it mentions his son Robert and Chester (who his daughter Marion married) his wife and his sister.. Let me know if you have this already..
