There are a number of places i would like to visit since starting our family tree, mostly in Ireland, i will make a point of it some time. Thanks, i have a fascination for the Lakota nations. Funnily enough, passed down by both of my grandparents so it just goes to show how genetics play their part. It's fascinating when you start looking into the history of your relatives and the paths their lives have taken. I just wish there was more documentation available to get a deeper insight into their lives. And yes it probably is quiet fortunate that they didn't pick up on the Surname. That must have been quiet an experience, and again it's amazing where genetics take you and the diversity within our bloodlines. Hopefully you can discover more in time. >From searching the IGI there seems to be a lot of Sheridan births in Ireland which i suppose are only a drop in the ocean considering it originated there from the gaelic O' Sirideain in Co. Longford. It is apparantly most prevalant today in Co Cavan although by all acounts seems to have travelled far and wide throughout the world. On a side note i came across this on the surname database (I'm not sure on the accuracy but i rather like the idea of some elfin mischief !) haha............... http://www.surnamedb.com/Surname/Sheridan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
