Dear Listers, We have recently observed several posts that included inappropriate content, particularly in signature lines. Rootsweb expressly forbids political statements, advertising, and the like. Every new subscriber to the Wig list receives a welcome message that includes: * DO NOT post test messages, warning messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, recipes, or items for sale. If you think, however, that some such message may be appropriate, please send it instead to sct-wigtownshire-admin@rootsweb.com, so it can be reviewed for possible posting. * Messages regarding commercial advertising and/or fundraising are NOT allowed!! * No rude comments or flaming will be tolerated on this list. Please make sure your messages adhere to these rules. Sometimes people forget about our rules and procedures, so starting now we'll amend the footer that accompanies each post to provide memory refreshers. That includes throwing in links that may interest newbies (not to mention us oldies who may have forgotten about them). Keep your eye on the footer! Thanks for your cooperation.
