In Thorn Bank, Inch, WIG, this HENRY family was located. All born INCH, year approximated, don't forget ages were rounded DOWN to the nearest year ending in 5 or 0. Agnes Henry, abt 1827 Alexr Henry, abt 1836 Alexr Henry, abt 1837 Andrew Henry, abt 1831 Daniel Henry, abt 1841 Jane Henry, abt 1801 Jane Henry, abt 1831 John Henry, abt 1801 a Tailor John Henry, abt 1833 William Henry, abt 1826 Thos Wkenell, abt 1806 a Mason From seeing other Surnames in WIG [Wigtownshire] I suspect the very last surname to be WHANNEL, but its strictly an educated guess. Relationships were not given in the 1841 census, meaning it won't say if someone was a brother, nephew or a farm servant. Perhaps this is a blended family, with 2 sets of parents and their children living in the same household. With a listed birthyear of 1833, it looks like the brother, John is living here with this family in Thorn Bank. Remember about the age-rounding that yearfor anyone above 15y. It was not rigorously done by the enumerator, there was probably some ambiguity to the instructions. Will try to see where this family is in the 1851 census.....yes, now in Stoneykirk This family lived in Stoneykirk in the 1851 Census....the enumerator did not put farm names in this district, so you won't get the residence. There were many more HENRYs, but these seemed like they could be of interest.....A lot to sort through with more here, get a big piece of paper and a fresh eraser....start making charts of families. Alexander. christened 22 May 1837 and Daniel , christened 30 Jan 1841. Both in Stoneykirk, Wigtonshire. Did they marry locally, move away, die there? I can find nothing on them. Also, a brother, John c.2 Oct 1821. Did he die young? as there is another brother, John, c. 14 June 1834. Thankyou for your help. Joan"
