Hi Bruce I noticed from an email to Irene that you wrote that you have the OPR's for the period 1834-1836. I wondered if you would look and see if William McDowall, born to Peter McDowall and Mary Anne Milligan is mentioned. I noticed on the 1851 Census that he was born in Inch (on Ancestry it says "Itch"). I always thought he was born in Stoneykirk but can't find his birth there. Of course he may not have been registered at all. On the Census his mother is listed as Margaret, but Peter had remarried at this time because his first wife died in 1843. William's Marriage Certificate says his mother was in fact Mary Anne. Hope you can help.
