    3. John McKie and Agnes McMaster moved to Kirkinner some time between 1851 and 1881. John married Agnes in 1851. I haven't checked the 61 or 71 census yet. But they were in Barvernochan Kirkinner in 1881. 3. Hi I'm interested in some of these names. GALLOWAY- My gg grandfather was James Galloway who married a Margaret Mc Cracken possibly in Ireland. Their son Joseph was born about 1859 in County Armagh, Ireland. On my husband's line I have an Agnes McMaster who had a son Alexander Graham, father James Graham schoolmaster. Alexander was born about 1838 and married Mary Ann McKie (born1850) in 1871. Mary Ann McKie's father was a John McKie and I have not been able to trace anything about him. On her marrriage certificate it says her father was John McKie, farmer, dec'd. Her mother was Catherine O'Hare. > Hi Have John McKie and Agnes McMaster who farmed at Woodhead Farm Penpont > then moved to Kirkinner. 3. Hi Ella Where abouts were your Galloway's and McKie's living? Was it Kirkinner, or was it Penpunt in Kirkcudbright for the McKie's? My Galloways originated in Ayrshire, then came to Kirkinner around 1880.
