In the previous posting, one couple was written as marrying in 'Craignarket', Old Luce. The Place Names lists on the WIG Pages by Carrie Gulline lists CRAIGNARGET. I looked at the original and saw that the seemingly haphazard scratchings over the K in Craignarket [both times it was written] were an X and an overscript letter g. That makes it Craignarget. This is surely the right placename. Another was in 'Airyoland', there are a few listings for similar placenames including 'Airyolan' in Mochrum and 'Airysland' in Glenluce. Another was seen clearly as Glenhoul and found as 'Glenhoule' located in Glenluce in the Placenames list.
