Hello Maisie I am unable to help with souce of more information for deaths at sea but have had a look at Auchencairn MI's and it appears that three brothers died in the same way. #193 erected by William Hyslop in memory of brothers james Hyslop who died at sea 1853 aged 30 and Peter Hyslop lost at sea 1858 aged 24. Brother John Hyslop died Shuttlebank Auchencairn 27.2.1862 aged 30. brother Gordon Hyslop died at sea 2.1.1875 aged 26. Father John hyslop died Shuttlebank 5.7.1882 aged 82. Sister Agnes died Shuttlebank 30.4.1908 aged 88. Sister Jane died Auchencairn 4.6.1922 aged 82. Great Grandson (of John Hyslop of Shuttlebank) Captain Herbert Morris Johnstone MN died Duncraig Auchencairn 8.3.1971 aged 67, dearly loved husband if Charlotte Ireland.
