This is a mystery that will probably never be solved!! Unless, of course, there was documentary evidence (ie. newspaper article??) of any incident which led to the deaths. I've got another couple of family mysteries which I keep going back to. Very frustrating!!!! Hopefully, eventually, all will become apparent and I'll discover who the real fathers of Alfred McGuigan and his wife, Maggie Jane Doherty were (very doubtful!!) and where Catherine Doherty (Maggie Jane's mother) went!
